Extended School Year
Grades K-3
We are excited to announce that RJBA will offer an extended year program for students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd for the 2013/2014 school year. All students in these grades will be offered 25 additional school days in order to ensure that we maximize their learning and minimize their loss of information over the summer. School will begin with registration on June 24th and continue through July 31. Vacation days will be July 3, 4, and 5. Summer hours will be from 8:30 to 2:30 Monday - Friday.
We welcome this opportunity to provide an extended school year. The project for this summer will be posted on the Web Site by June 1 and will include three field trips to help engage students. We will provide smaller classes than during the regular school year.
We will be sending home information shortly to all current and prospective families.

Common Core State Standards
The Common Core State Standards have been adopted by 46 states and the District of Columbia. These standards and the new test that is being developed will allow us to see how our students perform not only in comparison to other students in New Mexico, but also across the country. We have put some links in the parent section of this web page to help you become informed. Please ask us if you have any questions as you read through this material.
