Ms. Baca - Second and Third Grades

Welcome to our Classroom!

Ms. Baca

I am so excited to be one of the newest members of the Ralph J. Bunche Academy!  I have been working in the education field for the last 15 years.  I started as a volunteer in the school library and then a computer teacher at Holy Cross Elementary in Espanola, New Mexico.  I pursued my BA in Elementary Education and received my endorsement in Secondary Education Language Arts.  I have taught Introduction to Literature, British Literature,  Desktop Publishing, and various other technology courses as well as being the yearbook adviser at McCurdy High School.  Prior to moving here, I worked as a 6th grade teacher in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo in Northern New Mexico.

My son and I moved from Espanola, NM in August to join the RJBA team.  We are enjoying the rich cultural diversity that Albuquerque has to offer.  I am a firm believer that we must teach our children not only our culture, but those of others in the world.  We must preserve our history by educating our children and impressing the importance of all diversity in order to keep it alive.
